Bible Devotion

Hey friends,
I am here to share with you the devotion I am currently reading as well as my devotion time routine. I strongly believe that every person should have a Biblical devotion to read daily; whether it is a part of your morning routine, night time routine, or done sporadically throughout the day when you have some quiet time (when I tend to do mine). An engaging and meaningful devotion is the perfect way to energize your mind with uplifting + encouraging words and the promises and grace of Jesus.

I am on day 10 of Paul Tripp's devotion, "New Morning Mercies" and I absolutely love it!  These devotions are full of gospel stories along with a challenge and application for our daily lives. These passages of Scripture and hope-filled messages are a great way to learn more about the message of the gospel and Jesus Christ.

I always like to jot down notes from each daily devotion so that I can reference the words that really spoke to my heart. I believe that taking notes during any type of reading allows your mind to fully focus on what you are reading and tone out any distractions. But don't get too crazy with the note taking. They don't have to be pretty or neat. They should just be words that spoke to you and your heart.

Having a super cute, Christian related journal makes taking notes even better!! And it has awesome Bible verses at the bottom of every page!! <3

I also love using the YouVersion Bible app for further readings + reading the Bible in general. It is a free app and has all versions of the Bible on it. I usually read the NIV version!! It has awesome features where you can add comments to verses, highlight verses, etc. And the best part is, it is FREE!

Music always sets the perfect mood for whatever I am doing. I love to listen to The Belonging Co while I do my devotion. Their music is very uplifting and encouraging and will totally have you wanting to worship the Lord wherever you are!

So that is pretty much my daily devotion routine. It is simple. It is meaningful + powerful. It is how I tone out the world and give my full heart and mind to Jesus. Your routine might look a little different, but what matters is that you re devoting time to the Lord's words and dig deeper into His purpose for your life.

"Blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice."
Luke 11:28
