One day I asked myself this question- “What do I want to accomplish before I leave this earth?” This thought inspired me to start writing down things I want to do. This list of things that I want to do turned into a long list of life goals.
The Bible teaches us to set goals with the thought of God. Instead of setting goals with the intent to achieve them all in your time and your way, set goals with the ambition to fulfill God’s desires and plans for your life. “Instead you ought say, ‘if it is the Lord’s will, He will live and do this or that.’” (James 4:15) We have to leave space in our list of goals and dreams for God and his plans. We must be accepting of when our plans change paths and God’s goals differ from our own.
Everyone needs long term goals in their life. Making these goals will be the difference in determination and frustration. My life goal list is always morphing, but here is my latest version. These goals are not ranked in terms of importance or priority; some are big, some are small, but they are all goals that I have for my life.
So, here are my goals for the next 50+ years of my life…
