2017 has been full of achievements, purpose, passion, determination, travels, laughter, and so much more. From January to December, the Lord has blessed me with memories, accomplishments and answered prayers that have allowed me to fulfill goals and dreams. I am so thankful for every person that was a part of my year and for every adventure that made 2017 worthwhile! As I reflect on 2017, there are so many reasons that this year was one of the best yet.
Here is just a glimpse at 2017 and (some) of the reasons that it was spectacular.
January:
I rang in the new year on the sandy beaches and clear ocean water in Punta Cana with my family. I celebrated Drake's first birthday and Connor and I's one year anniversary, both on Jan. 7th. Best of all, I started my blog and am so happy that I did!
February:
February was spent watching Drew play baseball and enjoying the cool, Alabama weather.
C also surprised me with a beautiful pandora ring for Valentine's day.
March:
March was spent vacationing, a lot. My dad took me on a trip to Waco, Texas to see Chip and Joanna's Magnolia Market. It was a DREAM!! Then, we went to Forth Worth and San Antonio to do some site seeing.
I also enjoyed a trip to the beach with C and friends and then a trip to Pigeon Forge with C and his family. March was full of adventure and fun.
April:
April was spent enjoying the warmer weather with trips to the fair and Lake Martin. Connor and I also went to see Thomas Rhett at Jordan Hare. Also in April, my not so little brother, signed and committed to play baseball for Queens in Charolette, North Carolina. Woo, so proud of you AC!!
May:
Summertime, finally!! I watched lots of baseball, Austin graduated high school, and we had lots of family celebrations.
June:
So much love for summertime in the south; beach trips and baseball games!!
July:
The best month of summer 2017; July! Connor experienced the Cumming 4th of July Parade for the first time! We enjoyed summer lake days on Lake Lanier. We went to a concert, of course, to see Brantley Gilbert and Luke Combs. And most importantly, Truitt made his appearance in this world.
August:
We took a quick trip to the beach before we got back into the swing of things with school, football for Connor, and teaching. I began my last semester at Auburn and had my last sorority recruitment and bid day. My little sister turned 1 4 !! And my fur baby made a new best friend, Bo.
September:
Finally, F O O T B A L L !! I got to watch my love play the sport he loves.
October:
Thank the Lord we live in a world where there are Octobers. I love to decorate for fall, watch football, and enjoy all the glorious aspects of the autumn season. From fall photo shoots, to halloween festivities, to pumpkin patch adventures, October was wonderful.
November:
Football, family, and friends is how I spent my November. I watched C play his last football game of the season. We celebrated Thanksgiving with family at Lake Martin. I watched Auburn beat Alabama AND Georgia, War Eagle. And we began our Christmas shopping!
December:
December brought so many accomplishments, endings, and new beginnings. I graduated Auburn University with my undergrad in Special Education and I accepted a photography internship with Allure Eyewear in New York City. December brought and end to a huge chapter of my life; college.
After all of the graduation festivities, I began to celebrate Christmas. With just a little snow fall in Alabama, I made the best of it! Connor and I had a Christmas photo shoot and we enjoyed Fantasy In Lights with family.
